PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy at The Sudoku Chamber

You can play The Sudoku Chamber without an account. If you choose to sign in, this policy explains how account, streak, ranking and friend data are used.

Effective 11 September 2026

Information we collect

Anonymous play does not require a name or email address. If you create an account, Clerk verifies your email address and supplies The Sudoku Chamber with a stable account identifier. Clerk manages the verification process; The Sudoku Chamber does not receive or store passwords or one-time verification codes.

Account and gameplay data

For signed-in players, The Sudoku Chamber stores the authentication provider’s account identifier, your chosen leaderboard name, board and number-style preferences, friend code, accepted and pending friend connections, points, tier, solved-game records, best times and daily streak. Puzzle sessions also include difficulty, completion time, mistakes and whether the puzzle was a daily challenge.

This information is used to preserve progress across visits, calculate points, maintain the weekly Pearl-to-Diamond Global league and show friend comparisons.

Leaderboards and friends

Your player name, score, number of completed games, best time and tier can appear on public leaderboards. Your email address is not shown or stored in the game database. Friends you connect with using a friend code can see the same performance information on the Friends leaderboard. The application does not offer private messaging or public posts.

Information stored on your device

Your unfinished puzzle, elapsed time, notes, local statistics and pending score submission may be stored in your browser. This restores your game and lets an interrupted signed-in score submission retry later. The Chamber IQ Challenge also keeps your answers and latest result on this device only; they are not submitted to The Sudoku Chamber. You can remove local information by clearing this site’s browser data; removing the installed web app may not clear browser data on every device.

Analytics

The Sudoku Chamber uses Google Analytics to understand visits, usage patterns and the performance of the website. Google Analytics may process information such as browser and device details, approximate location derived from an IP address, pages visited and interactions with the website. This information helps improve the games and user experience.

Advertising and cookies

The Sudoku Chamber may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies or use similar technologies to serve, limit and measure advertisements. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to show advertisements based on a visitor’s previous visits to this website or other websites.

Where required, visitors will be asked for consent before personalised advertising technologies are used. Visitors can manage personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings and may also review industry opt-out choices at aboutads.info. The Sudoku Chamber does not control the cookies or data practices of advertising providers.

Offline use and sharing

The application may save essential game files in your browser cache so it can continue working offline. If you choose Share after solving a puzzle, your device’s own sharing feature handles the result and sends it only to the destination you select.

Website hosting

The hosting and authentication providers process information needed to deliver, secure and sign you into the website. This can include IP address, browser type, authentication cookies and security logs. The Sudoku Chamber does not sell personal information.

Retention and your choices

You may play without signing in, edit your public player name from My Chamber, remove friend connections, and sign out at any time. My Chamber also lets you permanently delete your profile and synced gameplay data. For another correction or privacy request, email thesudokuchamber@gmail.com from the address connected to your account.

Children’s privacy

The Sudoku Chamber is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children who cannot consent to online services in their region. A parent or guardian may contact us to request review or deletion of a child’s account data.
